Share The Love
Before Swig was on the map, Nicole Tanner, our energetic founder, was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer called cystosarcoma phyllodes. This is a fast-growing cancer that doesn’t respond to chemotherapy or radiation and surgery is the only option for removing this type of cancer.
After surgery, the cancer was successfully removed. Nicole and her husband had to then worry about how to pay for it all. They had no insurance, limited finances, and hospital bills over $10,000. It was then that they learned of a program through the hospital where donors pay the bills of qualified cancer patients. Nicole was fortunate enough to qualify.
A year later Nicole founded Swig. And now, during the month of October, we are launching our “Save The Cups” campaign to pay it forward by raising $50,000. This money will go directly to women fighting breast cancer to pay for life saving procedures.
At Swig, one of our top priorities is to participate in the communities we have the privilege of being a part of. Which is why we decided to kick off our second annual “Share The Love” campaign.
Each store was given the opportunity to pick a charity that is meaningful to them. During the month of February, each store will be raising money to support the specific charity their store chose. Swig will be supporting over 30 charities through this effort!
